Due to demand, we have added the 8:25pm train on Dec. 26, 27th AND the 28th! Book now while seating is still available! The recent snow has made the trip to the North Pole absolutely MAGICAL!
The award-winning book comes to life on this magical journey to the North Pole and back! The journey begins November 16 and runs through December 28. All passengers will enjoy hot chocolate and a treat served by your personal chefs who will also read the Polar Express story on the way to the North Pole to pick up Santa! While Santa visits each car, your chefs will lead you in speciall
y selected Christmas carols on the return to Durango. All the kids aboard the train will receive a special gift from Santa!
As in the story, we encourage everyone to wear their pajamas on this special journey, but be sure your pockets don't have any holes!
We recommend being at the station about 1/2 hour before your departure time. You definitely don't want to miss the 'grand entrance' of the Polar Express Train (be sure to watch for the hobo in the box car!) and the pre-boarding performance!
When you return to the station, be sure to say hello to the reindeer!

Make Your Polar Express Experience Even More Memorable riding our Deluxe or Premium-class cars!
Premium-class: Ride to the North Pole in our Alamosa Parlor Car or Prospector Car! Experience table and chair seating in historic, first-class style as the whole family enjoys the upgraded amenities presented by your car's personal chef. Everyone will be served hot chocolate with whipped cream & sprinkles in your own take-home souvenir mug and be served a Christmas treat. Everyone will get to take home the official D&SNG Christmas Songbook! All the children will get their own ‘special gift of Christmas’ from Santa.
Deluxe-class: Ride to the North Pole in the San Juan car. The whole family can enjoy the upgraded amenities presented by your car's personal chef. Everyone will be served hot chocolate and receive your own take-home souvenir mug. You will be served a Christmas treat and get to take home the official D&SNG Christmas Songbook! All the children will get their own ‘special gift of Christmas’ from Santa.
IMPORTANT!
All fares are subject to 6% Historic Preservation Fee.
Adult fares are for passengers 12 years of age and older.
Child fares are for passengers aged 2 through 11 years old. 
(Children and babies under 2 years not occupying a seat are free.)
Polar Express tickets are non-refundable but you may change your date, departure time or seating. Unless you are upgrading, a $6 per seat change fee applies.
Parking is available in the D&SNGRR Parking Lot on College Drive (next to McDonald's) for $4.00 per vehicle.
