Rolls Out Deluxe-Class Family Car

Durango, CO -The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad announces the newest addition to its fleet - The Prospector. This upscale coach was designed for families to enjoy the atmosphere of a first-class coach.

The Prospector is an enclosed coach that features comfortable table and chair style seating and is staffed with an attendant to assist with passenger needs and questions. Passengers receive a souvenir mug and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages throughout the trip. The ceiling of the car is an enlarged route map, making it easy for passengers to follow the train's progress along the route.

The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad has been in continuous operation since 1881. The D&SNGRR operates authentic coal-fired, steam-powered locomotives through the remote wilderness and high-mountain landscape of the San Juan National Forest in Southwest Colorado.
