Mountain Waters Rafting_rapids After the morning exhilaration of a Raft trip with Mountain Waters Rafting enjoy the ride from Silverton to Durango on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. This adventure trip is a family favorite!

This memorable day begins with a morning raft trip on the Lower Animas. Upon your return to the Mountain Waters headquarters you will board the scenic shuttle for the drive to Silverton along the spectacular San Juan Skyway. Take time on your own for lunch and to explore this historic mining town before catching the afternoon train back to Durango.

*Includes 6% historic preservation fee

2013 Schedule:

Pick up your tickets at Durango Depot by 7:45am or the night before your trip
8:00AM: Meet at Mountain Waters' kiosk in Albertson's Parking Lot (311 W. College Dr.)
8:30AM: Board shuttle to raft put-in location
11:00AM: Board shuttle for a drive to Silverton along the spectacular San Juan Skyway. The shuttle includes a scenic tour!
12:30PM: Once in Silverton, you'll be on your own you to enjoy the sites and history of Silverton and have lunch.
2:15PM: Board the train for a 2:30PM departure and travel by rail along the Animas River.
6:00PM: Arrive at Durango Depot.
Important! No trip package scheduled for May 25, 2013 due to highway closure for Iron Horse Bicycle Classic event!

Recommendations: Guests should dress appropriately for the river. We suggest clothing that dries quickly (i.e. nylon shorts, shirt & windbreaker) and shoes that will stay on and dry quickly (i.e. river sandals with heel strap & closed toe or sneakers.) Sunscreen and hat highly recommended. Guests can bring a backpack with extra clothing for train trip.

IMPORTANT: Rafting, like all other outdoor activities, is inherently dangerous. By participating in Mountain Waters Rafting activities, you will be assuming those risks.
All participants will be required to sign a release of liability before undertaking any activity with Mountain Waters Rafting & Adventure Company llc.
