Experience the two most sought after attractions in Southwest Colorado.  Ride on the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad one day and the next make the most of your day at Mesa Verde National Park with a guided tour provided by Mesa Verde Tours.

Maximize your time in the Park as you experience the cultural heritage of Mesa Verde National Park, designated as one of the first World Heritage Sites. Your 8.5 hour tour begins in Durango with transportation to the park where you will begin a full day of exploration that will provide a comprehensive overview of the park as well as all the highlights. You will be part of a stimulating interpretive tour that will explore spectacular prehistoric sites and cliff dwellings.  Your professional guide from Mesa Verde Tours will share current understanding and interpretation of the geography,  culture, architecture and archeology of the Ancestral Puebloan people tracing the advancement of their civilazation through 700 years of habitation.  You will view and hear about Square Tower House, Sunset House, Mummy House, Sun Temple, Oak Tree House, New Fire House, Fire Temple, Spruce Tree House and make the descent into  Cliff Palace, the largest cliff dwelling in North America. Bring a camera -- you’ll find fantastic photo opportunities throughout the day!

Fare: $80 per adult,  $65 for children ages 5-16 and $25 for children 4 and under. Your tour includes transporation from Durango to the park and back, all park admission fees, a picnic lunch and water throughout the day.The Mesa Verde Tour shuttle will pick up (8:20am) and drop off (approx. 6pm) at the D&SNGR parking lot.
