Cascade Canyon Spring Train 2013

Cascade Canyon Spring Train 2013

Spring train

Ride the steam train 26 miles each way on the abbreviated trip to the Cascade Canyon wye. This trip takes you through the San Juan National Forest and along the Animas River in the comfort of heated coaches. This wilderness destination is the perfect setting for a fire-side lunch, photo opportunities, or a walk along the Animas River.

Be sure to visit the D&SNG Museum. It is open to the public from 1:00-4:00pm every day the train operates.

ONBOARD FOOD & BEVERAGE:
Please note that Cascade Canyon is a wilderness destination and there are no stores or restaurants, just a natural, scenic canyon with picnic tables along the Animas River and a covered pavilion just steps away from the train. We invite you to enjoy the convenience of lunch selections available onboard the D&SNG. In addition to our light lunch offerings in the Concession Car, guests can pre-order a special boxed lunch from Durango's Red Lantern Catering! CLICK HERE FOR LUNCH OPTIONS!
