Please note that these are train excursions only, not photo special excursions.  The train does not make stops on the way to Cascade Canyon. Although restroom facilities are not available on board Goose #5, they are available at select points along the route.

CASCADE CANYON EXCURSIONS

Overview: The Rio Grande Southern Galloping Goose #5 will offer roundtrip train excursions from the Durango Depot (MP 451.52) to Cascade Canyon (MP 477.55).  There will be a 45 minute layover at Cascade Canyon.

Important Notes:  Lunch is not included.  Goose passengers will be able to pre-purchase a boxed lunch or have access to purchase lunch from the concession car while at Cascade Canyon.  Alternatively, passengers may bring their own lunch.

Restrooms are not available on the Goose but will be available at Hermosa, Rockwood, and on the regularly scheduled Cascade Canyon Train on layover at Cascade Canyon.

EVENT PARK EXCURSIONS

Overview: Join us on Narrow Gauge Day (May 3) when the Rio Grande Southern Galloping Goose #5 will offer one hour train excursions from the Durango Depot (MP 451.52) to Event Park (MP 456.65). Three departure times are available at 9:25am, 10:45am and 12:00pm.
