brunchBrunchThe rear portion of the Cascade Canyon train is reserved for Brunch Train passengers. Enjoy premium-class seating where you can relax and enjoy a delicious hot brunch buffet onboard the train as you travel along the Animas River. Live onboard music from one of Durango's talented solo musicians will accompany your dining delight as well as a complimentary glass of sparkling wine or sparkling cider. Everyone receives a complimentary souvenir mug refillable with non-alcoholic beverages all day! Mimosas, Bloody Marys and a full cash bar will be available to all guests 21 years of age or older. A special dessert will be given to each passenger on the return trip as well.

Robby OverfieldRobby Overfield is a musician who blends the art of storytelling and genuine lyrics with a powerful voice to compliment an encapsulating listening experience. Stretching his soulful Detroit, Michigan roots all the way to the rocky skyline of Durango, Colorado, Robby has continued to grow and expand his musical framework to include unique perspectives to his own life’s episodes and encounters. With a tremendous ability to captivate an audience through subtle build-ups and incredible delivery, his songs are bound to have folks walking away changed by the power of music and emotion.

 

Tim SullivanTim Sullivan, singer/songwriter, has been a featured performer with Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Alan Jackson, Tammy Wynette, and Glen Campbell.  He has entertained at venues across the country from "The Crazy Horse" in Los Angeles to "Town Hall" on Broadway in New York City.  Tim and his band, Narrow Gauge, have been featured at the Olympic Equestrian Center in Sydney, Australia and also at the World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky.  Tim and his family have performed in concert at "Carnegie Hall" four different times.  The last performance at Carnegie Hall was featured on NBC's "Today Show" and NBC's Nightly News.

On January 31 the Brunch Train will leave Durango EARLY!  It is the morning of the D&SNGRR-sponsored Snowdown Hot Air Balloon Ascension!

Hot Air BalloonsWeather permitting, the train will stop in the Animas Valley to watch the Hot Air Balloon Rally Mass Ascension. All guests will be permitted to deboard the train and walk to the field to get photographs and talk with hot air balloon pilots and crew as available. All other Brunch Train amenities as above are given to First-Class Brunch Train passengers. The January 31 train will return to Durango at approximately 1:30pm.

Catered buffet

We'll greet you at the depot and welcome you onboard the Brunch Train where you'll find a beautifully catered hot brunch. As we roll through the Animas Valley and high above the river, our strolling musician will take requests and sing your favorite songs. Enjoy complimentary non-alcoholic beverages throughout the trip and a complimentary glass of wine or sparkling cider. During a 45-minute stop along the river at the Cascade Canyon wye you can stroll to the footbridge, warm your hands by the rock fireplace in the pavilion or sit and relax in the comfort of your car without even stepping foot outside into the snowy wonderland. On the return to Durango you will be offered a scrumptious dessert buffet.

For those guests wanting to enjoy just our wonderful train without all the extra festivities, we have our Standard Coach seats available. You will have access to our Concession Car where you may purchase snacks, hot and cold lunch items, beverages, cocktails and souvenirs.  The Concession Car is available to all passengers on the train.

Knight Sky:
