Raft & Rail

May 11th through August 16th, 2019
(This package is over for 2019.  Please check back in 2020 for updated information.)

After the morning exhilaration of a raft trip with Mountain Waters Rafting in Durango, take a shuttle to Silverton to enjoy the vintage steam train ride from Silverton to Durango. This adventure trip is a family favorite!

Mountain Waters Rafting_rapidsThis memorable day begins with a morning raft trip on the Lower Animas. Upon your return to the Mountain Waters headquarters you will board the shuttle for a scenic ride to Silverton along the spectacular San Juan Skyway. Take time on your own for lunch and to explore this historic mining town before catching the afternoon train back to Durango. (Recommendation from the experts: Go rafting in the morning to avoid the afternoon rains of summer!  Our 'monsoon' season usually begins at the end of June.)
