If this is your one shot at Mesa Verde, you will value this comprehensive tour. Tour vehicles are comfortable; air conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter. Save car entrance fees and gas, while you sit back, relax and take in all the wonderful sights and intriguing information!
8:00AM: Meet at Mild to Wild Headquarters (50 Animas View Drive, Durango). Check in, sign release forms, and meet your guide.
8:15AM Sit back and relax on the scenic 36-mile drive to Mesa Verde National Park.

Stop for lunch -Enjoy a delicious deli sandwich (choice of Turkey or Veggie), side salad, fresh fruit, chips and beverages.
Explore still more of Mesa Verde and the cliff dwellings.
Return to Durango at about 4:30 PM.

Colorado Car Seat Law states children up to 8 years old must be in an appropriate car seat. We do not stock car seats; please bring your own.
Dress in layers. Summer is cool in the morning and hot by the afternoon. In Fall and Spring bring a warm coat, hat and gloves.
In all seasons, bring sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, camera, water bottle and money for snacks and souvenirs.
One of the largest cliff dwellings, Cliff Palace can be viewed from the overlook. You can choose to take a tour into the ruin where you will need to descend a flight of stairs and climb three sturdy ladders about 10 feet each. This is suitable for most but not all and you are welcome to stay at the overlook if you choose.
