San Juan Holiday Narration

Dec. 21-Jan. 1

Join us for a special holiday narration experience!  On the Holiday Narration San Juan Coach, not only will you learn about the railroad, Durango and the Animas Valley, but we will also talk about how the early settlers celebrated the holidays!  What was on the menu at the first Christmas dinner served in the valley?  How did the settlers decorate?  Who led the first Christmas church service in Durango?  Where was the worst Christmas party ever and what were the repercussions of it?  Did children worry if Santa would find them out on the frontier?  One of the early settlers will be on board, dressed in authentic garb to share these holiday stories with you!
