Ouray

This small, intimate community is nestled in some of the most rugged and towering peaks of the Rockies. Set at the narrow head of a valley and surrounded on three sides with 13,000-foot snowcapped peaks, Ouray has been eloquently nicknamed the “Switzerland of America.”

Today Ouray is a quaint, romantic town maintaining its original Victorian charm. Named a National Historic District in 1983, Ouray presents an abundance of old Victorian architecture. The natural hot springs, so magical to the Ute Indians 128 years ago, still attracts people from all over the world.

No matter what your interests or the season, Ouray is sure to be a vacation you will never forget.
